2026 Tierra in the City

 

Issaquah Suzuki Strings holds two summer programs for our students and families: "Tierra Summer Strings" an overnight family camp in Leavenworth, and" Tierra in the City" day camp in Issaquah. We alternate years for each camp. For 2027 we will be back in Leavenworth in June!

For 2026 we will be in Issaquah, at Our Savior Lutheran Church on Front St, August 10-13. This will be a half day camp from 9am-12pm, culminating in a Thursday evening concert.

Our goal is to provide a rewarding group musical experience, furthering the development of each student's instrumental technique while exploring new music and sharing that experience with others. Our camps are primarily geared towards students of Issaquah Suzuki Strings teachers, however we do invite students of other teachers upon request. A typical day includes traditional Suzuki group playing, orchestra and chamber music, fiddling classes and musical movement activities. All of our activities and classes are carefully adapted to the age, interest and playing level of each student. We also save time for fun group activities outdoors!
